Dear Parishioners & Friends,
Here is a question which was posed to me in my prayer time last Sunday: "What are the memories of being loved and cared for throughout your life?" As a child, I remember being loved and cared for by my parents and seven siblings. I was busy, being helped by the three elder ones (John, Pat & Dan) and helping care for the last four (Mary, Nick, Jim & Diane). There was always someone to play, Sunday, February 28, 2021 2nd Sunday of Lent talk and share with. We prayed together at home and church. Schoolmates Evelyn Lorenz by Herman & teachers shared their time, talents and respect.
The seminary experience (8 years) was filled with many colorful and great men, teachers & fellow collegians. I got to know a lot of the men well and learned so much from them. They were a special breed, with a lot of care and dedication, especially since they were deciding about priesthood. Since being ordained, students and parishioners and staff have inspired me by their love and sharing. People became dear friends and I visited many of them. Their generosity has been such a lesson. I had many people who went out of their way for me and told me of their love. Medical people have been so generous in assisting in my health care. And so many of these people I have had the chance to pray with intimately, as they shared Jesus with me. I have had a great experience of sharing love, which I am ever grateful for.
Thanks for your love and care, also.
Father Dick
